SMVDU, Technical University of J&K legislature is a fully residential institution set up on the pattern of IITs. The University has established 10 Academic Schools to impart UG, PG and Ph. D. Level education. Applications are invited for faculty positions at the following level:

1.  Professor : in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics &   Communication   Engineering,   Mechanical   Engineering,   Architecture   &  Landscape Design, Pay Band : Rs. 37400
   - 67000, with AGP of Rs.10000/-
2. Associate  Professor  in  the  Department  of  Computer  Science  &  Engineering,
   Mechanical Engineering,  and Physics, Pay Band : Rs. 37400 - 67000, with AGP of Rs. 9000/-
3. Assistant  Professor  in  the  Department  of  Computer  Science  &  Engineering, Electronics  &  Communication  Engineering,  Economics and Architecture  & Landscape Design., , Pay Band : Rs. 15600 - 39100, with AGP of Rs.6000/-

Application Fee : Application Form should be accompanied with application fee in the form of a DD of
 Rs. .500/- drawn in  favour of ‘Registrar, SMVDU’, payable at Katra/Kakryal/Jammu. However,  no  application  Fee  is payable for Ph.D. qualified candidates. 

How to apply : Candidates may apply on the prescribed format along with a demand draft for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, payable at Jammu to be sent by Registered / Speed Post only so as to reach by or before 11/07/2016 at The Registrar, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University,  Kakryal, Sub Post Office, Katra–182320 (J&K).
