Jobs vacancy posts of Specialist Officer (Assistant Manager) Scale-I in General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) Re 2019 to be based in its offices in India and abroad (primarily to be posted at Head Office, Mumbai) and will be liable to be posted anywhere in India and well as abroad as per the requirement of the Corporation.

About GIC
The Government of India (GOI), through Nationalisation took over the shares of 55 Indian insurance companies and the undertakings of 52 insurers carrying on general insurance business.
General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) was formed in pursuance of Section 9(1) of GIBNA.
GIC was incorporated on 22 November 1972 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a private company limited by shares.
After a process of mergers among Indian insurance companies, four companies were left as fully owned subsidiary companies of GIC
- National Insurance Company Limited
- The New India Assurance Company Limited
- The Oriental Insurance Company Limited
- United India Insurance Company Limited.
Specialist Officer (Assistant Manager) 2019 Vacancy
- Specialist Officer (Assistant Manager) : 25 vacancies (UR-13, OBC-8, SC-1, ST-1) (PWD-1) in (General Steam - 24, Hindi-01), Pay Scale : Rs. 32795-62315, Age : 21-30 years as on 21/08/2019. Relaxation in ages as per rules., Qualification: Graduates in Engineering/ Finance/ Commerce/ Law/ Information Technology, etc. with at least 60% marks for General and OBC candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process
The selection for the above post shall be on the basis of shortlisting of the candidates based on Written Test and performance in Group Discussion and interview. The total marks for Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.
