Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from the designated Districts of State of Andhra Pradesh and UT of Yanam to become airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades and Group ’Y’ (For Medical Assistant only) Trades will be held at Shri T.G.Venkatesh Outdoor Stadium, Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) from 16 September 2014 to 24 September 2014 as per the Selection Programme Ministry of Defence .

• Pay Scale : Rs.11400/- (During training Period)

Eligibility Criteria :    

• Educational Qualification : Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades (i) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English OR (ii) Passed Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course or in Intermediate /Matriculation if English is not a subject in Diploma Course. Group ‘Y’ (For Medical Assistant only) Trade Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Nationality : Indian
Age Limit : Candidates should be born between 01 February 1995 to 30 June 1998 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.
Selection Process : Written test will be objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English Paper as per the details given below : -

• Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades :  English, Physics and Mathematics as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE. Duration of Test: 60 minutes.
• Group ‘Y’ (For Medical Assistant only) Trades :  English as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA). Duration of Test 45 minutes.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates will also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts.
How to Apply : Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates (from respective Districts covered below) reporting up to 10 AM on 16, 18, 20 & 22 September 2014 at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.
