ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE CADRE OF DISTRICT JUDGES.
NO. RC/1250/2011
The High Court of Gujarat, in view of the guidelines of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of Malik Mazhar Sultan & Anr. V/s. U.P.Public Service Commission & Ors. and The Gujarat State Judicial Service Rules, 2005 invites Online applications from the eligible Advocates, for filling up, by Competitive Examination for the following posts of Judges:
- District Judges: 12 Posts
- Pay: Rs.51650-1240-59090-1390-63260 + allowances as admissible under the Rules.
- Qualification:
- Must possess a degree in law from the University established by law in India.
- Must be practicing Advocate in Courts of Civil and Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for submission of online applications and must have so practiced for a period not less than seven years as on such date. Explanation : For the purpose of this clause in computing the period during which a person has been an Advocate there shall be included the period during which he has held Judicial Office.
- Must possess basic knowledge of Computer Application /operation, as set out by the Government in General Administration Department Resolution No. PRCH-102005-1532-C, dated 30/09/2006 and CRR-10-2007-120320-G.5, dated 13/08/2008.
- Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 48 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, Disabled persons and Ex-serviceman and 45 years in the case of others, as on the last date fixed for submission of online application i.e. 15/7/2011.
